Karla Zazueta
Karla Zazueta is a self-taught Mexican chef, cookery teacher, author and caterer originally from Ensenada, Baja California a place in the north of Mexico, but has lived in London since 2003. She grew up in a large Mexican family and learned how to cook watching her parents, grandma and aunties cooking. Her father was the one that instilled in her the love for food and cooking. She has been teaching her Mexican heritage, recipes and techniques through her cooking classes in her studio in North London. She also hosts Mexican supper clubs every end of each month at her family home. Her recipes have been futured in The Guardian, BBC Food, NatGeo Food Magazine and other important publications. In her new first cookbook, Norteña, she shares the story of all the recipes that she grew up eating from the northern Mexico.
